Substance Use Disorder Treatment Specialist

General Purpose

Candidates will be applying for a unique opportunity in a private clinic setting for full time (32 to 40 hrs. /week) position with Westfall Associates; a NYS OASAS licensed outpatient provider. The professional delivers substance use disorder treatment services, to include clinical evaluations, primary individual therapist and group therapy services. We serve persons with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions and/or their family members. Westfall serves persons from ages 13 and up. Group services for adults are offered in the evening, most groups begin at 5:30 PM. Minimum commitment for two evenings a week. Most participants in treatment are employed or are supported by family members who are employed.

 

Qualifications

Qualified Health Professional status, with Master’s Degree or other relevant experience. Three years of work experience in the chemical dependency field and/or mental health fields, with preference for work experience in an OASAS licensed setting. Specialty training in group process, person centered therapy, CBT or DBT is desired. Will also consider candidates who are Qualified Health professionals with Bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience in OASAS licensed setting. Hiring will be contingent on passing NYS Child Abuse Registry and NYS OASAS Justice Center background checks.
