I began at Westfall Associates in 1997 when I was doing my undergraduate field placement experience. As an undergraduate I pursued the interests I had by studying social work and health sciences, with a concentration in alcohol and drug studies. When I graduated with my bachelor's degree my position at Westfall Associates grew from per diem, to part time, and then full time.
In 2000 I moved out of state to complete my master's degree in social work. While doing this I worked at a chemical dependency facility in a rural setting. After completing graduate school I returned to Rochester. I participated in supervision and leadership training classes and returned to Westfall Associates as the supervisor of adolescent and family services.
Although the majority of my clinical career has been at Westfall Associates, I have also grown from professional experiences in working at a children's agency and for a health insurance company.
At this time my role at Westfall Associates is that of a primary therapist and clinical supervisor. I also facilitate the family group. What I enjoy about being part of the clinical team at Westfall Associates is the opportunity to work with people and help them discover, or re-discover their strength(s). I believe in addressing a person's overall health and well-being. By working with clients and their families at Westfall Associates I look forward to continuing to grow as a professional and expanding my therapeutic skills. I am fortunate to work part time now in order to be home more with my family. Besides spending time with my family, I also enjoy nature, animals, and reading.
